Robert Parker: Errázuriz ranks best
For the second consecutive year, Viña Errázuriz and Viña Seña topped the list of Chilean wines published by the world’s most important wine critic, Robert Parker, when their 2007-vintage icon wines took the first four places of the 204-wine ranking.
Viñedo Chadwick 2007 received the highest score with 97 points (the same as the 2006 vintage)—one more honor in a long list of international recognition awarded this icon wine, confirming its position as Chile’s best Cabernet Sauvignon. It bears mention that this is the same wine that won the 2004 Berlin Tasting when it bested the world’s most renowned and traditional wines from France and Italy. Seña took second place with 96 points. This extraordinary wine made from grapes grown in a biodynamically managed vineyard in the Valle de Aconcagua is a faithful expression of its terroir. The third place also went to members of Viña Errázuriz. Don Maximiano 2007 earned 94+ points, alongside with KAI 2007 that also scored 94 points. La Cumbre 2007 and Cenit 2007 scored 93 and 92+ points respectively, which placed them among the top 15 wines on the list.
